Introducing the ESPR
From 2026 onwards, the EU's Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP) will introduce a wave of new compliance obligations for manufacturers, importers, and distributors across a wide range of sectors. At the heart of this regulatory shift is the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the broadest of the CEAP measures, which sets out ecodesign requirements for products and introduces a Digital Product Passport to improve transparency across supply chains.
