Energy scan

Understand your energy use, cut costs, improve sustainability

With growing pressure on the electricity grid, businesses face new challenges: electrification plans run into capacity limits, and waiting lists for grid upgrades are getting longer. The Energy Scan provides the clarity and control you need to make informed decisions in this changing landscape.

We combine a targeted questionnaire with high-resolution energy data to deliver a detailed picture of your electricity consumption. This includes peak loads, standby losses, and usage patterns over time. You receive tailored recommendations aligned with the Recognized Energy Efficiency Measures (EML), concrete saving opportunities, and an indication of which subsidies, may be relevant for your situation.

Curious to know more? This is how we do it:

  • Step 1: Smart questionnaire
  • Step 2: Data analysis
  • Step 3: Insights & recommendations
  • Step 4: What's next
  • Smart questionnaire

We start with a targeted intake that maps your company’s buildings, processes, and future energy needs. You’ll answer practical questions about your building type, size and energy label, types of equipment, usage of electricity, current and planned EV charging, production shifts and growth expectations. This input helps us understand how energy is used, where potential bottlenecks may arise and what the context per grid connection is.

  • Data analysis

We combine your answers from the questionnaire with your actual energy data, including 15-minute interval readings. We analyze your load profile, identify peak loads, standby losses, and trends in electricity and gas consumption. We also assess contract types, grid capacity constraints and any prior experiences with congestion. This step helps us spot inefficiencies and match them to your operational and strategic context.

  • Insights & recommendations

Based on the data, we deliver a clear overview of your current energy profile and key findings per connection. You receive tailored recommendations to reduce consumption, lower peak demand, and use your contracted capacity more efficiently. We include suggestions in line with the Recognized Energy Efficiency Measures (EML) and provide estimates of savings and payback periods where relevant.

  • What's next

We can help you translate the findings into concrete next steps. This may include implementing low-effort, high-impact measures, exploring relevant subsidies, or linking the outcomes to your ESG reporting and broader sustainability efforts.

Cuting costs, emissions, and promoting efficiency

Promoting efficiency

More efficient systems means smoother operations

Improved energy performance reduces equipment strain, extends asset life, and minimizes downtime.

Emissions reduction

Lower your carbon footprint while staying ahead of regulations.

Implementing efficient energy management practices reduces emissions and supports compliance with sustainability regulations.

Cost savings

Smarter energy use leads to immediate financial gains.

By identifying peak loads and inefficiencies, the scan uncovers where energy is wasted, and where real savings can be made

Geldersenergieakkoord (GEA)

Our role in the GEA

For the Geldersenergieakkoord, we provide businesses with clear insights into their energy use and support them in taking targeted actions that reduce costs, improve energy efficiency, and help alleviate grid congestion.

Is the energy scan relevant for my company?

Yes, provided your company has access to 15-minute energy data (kwartierwaarden), which is required for the scan. Based on previous cases, we’ve consistently seen that this level of data reveals substantial reduction opportunities, even in companies that through their energy use was already efficient.

How is this different form a standard energy audit?

Traditional energy audits are often lengthy, technical, and slow to implement. The energy scan is designed to be fast, focused, and practical. We combine a smart intake with actual usage data to identify clear priorities, resulting in concrete, data-based recommendations your team can act on immediately.

What is the urgency for my company?

With long waiting times for grid upgrades and new connections, insight into your own energy use is more important than ever. If you plan to electrify, add charging points, or expand operations, understanding and managing your current load profile is essential. The energy scan helps you anticipate limitations and avoid delays, before grid constraints become a bottleneck.
