At Good Growth Collective, our strength lies in our international character. We operate as a collective united across borders, bringing together diverse perspectives to solve global sustainability challenges. This international mindset drove us to join the CSRD Experience Day in Stockholm, reinforcing our belief that the transition to a sustainable economy requires collaboration that extends far beyond our home base in Amsterdam.

We were proud to contribute to the agenda by hosting a workshop led by our own Johanna Toresdotter Norberg. The session focused on how ESG reporting can support the development of strategies that unlock business value. The goal was to challenge the room to look beyond the compliance burden. Instead of viewing reporting as a mere checklist, Johanna invited participants to see the data collection process as a strategic catalyst for future growth.

During the session, we highlighted real world examples like IKEA’s circular business models to illustrate how deep ESG insights can be transformed into competitive advantages. The discussions revealed that while regulations like the CSRD provide the framework, the real work lies in translating that data into action. The focus in the room was clearly shifting toward how data can actively shape decision-making and drive tangible improvements.

Beyond our own session, it was inspiring to learn from fellow industry leaders on the main stage. Laura Berns-van Unen from PostNL shared valuable experiences regarding double materiality and audit collaboration. We also gained a global perspective from Matilda Norrman at Samsung, who shared how a major multinational defines material topics and runs effective stakeholder dialogues.

Events like the CSRD Experience Day confirm that while the regulatory landscape evolves, the need for clear strategy remains constant. We are proud to contribute to these international conversations and bring those learnings back to our clients. If you are curious how to translate your ESG data into a business strategy that works, we would love to help you take the next step.
